About Integrated Emergency Response
iER is an AWARD-WINNING FREE-to-use emergency response app, available on all major smartphone operating systems. It connects users to a national network of emergency and security personnel who can assist in the event of any emergency, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — direct to your location.
In addition to emergency response, the iER App now includes a dedicated Infrastructure Reporting tool, giving users a quick and simple way to report service delivery and safety issues in their communities. Every report is logged and directed to the relevant municipal department, helping ensure problems receive attention as quickly as possible.
The iER app is accessible to all South Africans and international travellers. Please note that emergency response services are limited to within the borders of South Africa.
International travellers can pre-download the iER app before arriving in South Africa for seamless access to emergency assistance.
A mobile internet connection and location services are required to send emergency alerts and infrastructure reports within South Africa.
