About Chemical Elements Practice
Learning the chemical elements is essential for understanding science. Whether for school, university, or personal interest, a structured system helps build reliable memory for symbols, names and relationships. This app provides a clear and sustainable learning experience designed to strengthen long-term knowledge more effectively than simple quizzes.
At its core is an adaptive spaced repetition system that adjusts review intervals based on how well you remember each element. If you recall an item after a longer interval than expected, the next interval is extended. If you hesitate or forget, the interval decreases without resetting your progress. This ensures that your practice time focuses on what truly requires reinforcement.
Two learning modes support different goals. Multiple Choice enables quick practice and helps establish recognition patterns. Self-Assessment encourages active recall: you attempt to retrieve the answer before rating whether you knew it, almost knew it, or did not know it. This process significantly improves long-term retention.
The app includes all 118 chemical elements, organized into familiar groups: s-block (14), p-block (36), d-block (40) and f-block (28). You can freely select which categories to study and choose from several question directions, such as Symbol → Name, Name → Symbol, or prompts focused on groups or periods. You may adjust all settings at any time without losing progress.
Category tests provide a clear overview of your knowledge. Each test presents all relevant elements once and awards a silver or gold medal depending on your score. This makes it easy to track progress over time.
A full card browser is also available, allowing you to look up any element whenever needed.
