AskScout is a data and technology company with a mission to empower everyday people to visualize and mitigate known, and unknown personal risks.
By developing a series of patented classification systems and prediction algorithms, partially based upon the Rutgers Crime Prediction Risk-Terrain modeling method, we take advantage of both time-series and spatial data sets, as well as modern ML techniques, to create a measurement for physical risk, called the AskScout Quantified Risk Index (QRI). Each hourly score is constantly tested against actual incident data and is accurate within a 24-36 hour period, declining in accuracy thereafter.
