Haint - Dark House

Broke the deep lethargy within your head
A heavy thunder, so that you upstarted,
Like to a person who by force is wakened;

And round about you moved your rested eyes,
Uprisen erect, and steadfastly you gazed,
To recognise the place wherein you was.

Midway upon the journey of your life
You found yourself within a house dark,
For the straight forward pathway had been lost.
