IsoCal

IsoCal is a prediction tool for calculating the sound reduction index of single walls with no cavity and double walls with a cavity between the leafs. It is possible to design walls with multiple leafs and different cavity connections (timber studs, steel, double studs, etc.), different porous sound absorption material in the cavity of a double wall and predict the sound reduction index given as a Rw value in decibels [dB]. IsoCal comes built in with a catalog of well known material and porous material to use for designing the wall for optimal sound reduction.
IsoCal also provides a calculator for the prediction of absorption coefficients of porous materials. A simple calculator that lets the user choose the porous material thickness, air gap behind the porous material and more.
