Sarasota Memorial

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System's iPhone application provides the user with a dynamic listing of our physicians, services and locations. Physicians are easy to search based on keywords or specialties. If the provider has appointments available, they can be requested on their profile. Our services are listed alphabetically displaying full, formatted descriptions and information when tapped.

And, SMH facilities are all pinned on a dynamic map, which allows the user to find out which Urgent Care Centers, Emergency Rooms or any other SMH location is closest. GPS navigation can be used to direct the user to any facility or physician in the system. We also use the iPhone's built-in geo-locating functions to assist our users once they arrive at our main campus, or are visiting one of our off-site facilities.

This application uses Analytics to gather information as well as track and report activity. All user data is kept anonymous. The statistical information is only used to analyze how the application is utilized, which assists in factoring application enhancements and bug fixes for purposes of improving both usability and functionality.
