Austrian Map Mobile

The Austrian Map mobile (AMap mobile) contains the digital maps of Austria including hill shading, the object area names from the Digital Landscape Model (DLM) and the Digital Elevation Model (DGM). This product of the Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying (BEV) offers not only the high quality topographic maps but also a user-friendly interface with extensive functionality.

Available maps and data:

-          Overview map 1:1 million
-          Cartographic model 1:500 000
-          Cartographic model 1:250 000
-          Cartographic model 1:50 000

All map data of AMap mobile are available free of charge and are stored locally on the respective smartphone or tablet (offline use possible).

Functions of Austrian Map mobile:

-          Search by place name or search by coordinates
-          GPS functions: Display of location, "moving map", compass support, routing along tracks
-          Insert, edit and share POIs (Points of Interest)
-          Recording and sending tracks
-          Information about the map sheets displayed
-          Measuring distances and areas

Continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease battery life.
