About Smartleggio
Smartleggio is a sheet music reader application which tries to improve the process of reading and performing from sheet music. It supports popular MusicXML and PDF file formats and is able to perform automatic page turning while you are playing the score.
Main features of Smartleggio:
- Support for sheet music in widespread MusicXML and PDF file formats;
- Own file format designed for optimal experience of reading sheet music on tablets and other mobile devices;
- Automatic page turning using microphone data or data from a MIDI connection;
- Manual context-aware page turning using Bluetooth page turner or swipe up/down gestures;
- Experimental OMR (optical music recognition) functionality for PDF scores to facilitate playback and automatic page turning for scores in this format;
- Basic score library management features (playlists, search etc.);
- Basic editing and annotation features (handwriting notes, repeats structure editing, for MusicXML a limited music content editing is available);
- Access to a free online library of piano scores.
The application is currently focused on piano experience but can be useful for other pitched instrument players as well.
