About CNATRA HABIT
Naval aviators, flight officers, and aircrewmen face many challenges, including staying fighting fit. Our aviation professionals face significant long-term risk of back and neck injuries due to the repeated physical stresses of military flight. The Chief of Naval Air Training’s Head and Back Injury Training (CNATRA HABIT) app is the first mobile application created specifically to help mitigate risks to the musculoskeletal health of naval aviators, flight officers, and aircrewmen. The goal of the app is to increase readiness, fitness, and performance by reducing injury risks and production loss due to medical delay, injury, and rehabilitation.
The app mitigates the risk of neck and back injury by delivering on-demand training that teaches aviation professionals how to perform neck and back exercises and incorporate those exercises into their daily training regime. Content includes neck and back injury foundational knowledge, videos of instructors demonstrating strengthening exercises, and videos of exercise routines to be performed before and after each flight event.
The app is available in the Navy App Locker and commercial app stores. It can be used on the electronic kneeboard (EKB), student or instructor smartphone, or other personal electronic device for training anytime and anywhere. Download yours today!
