Zakat Wadi Almaawal

Explore the impact of charitable giving with the official Zakat Committee app in Wadi Al-Maawil. Under the patronage of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, this noble initiative began in its early stages as the Al-Ihsan Charity Team on January 1, 2014. In 2017, Zakat Committees were established in some regions of the Sultanate, with their jurisdictions defined under the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, in accordance with Ministerial Decision No. (2017/97). As a result, the team’s name evolved into the Zakat Committee of Wilayat Wadi Al-Maawil, until August 19, 2021, when Ministerial Decision No. (2021/352) was issued to restructure the Zakat Committee of Wilayat Wadi Al-Maawil in South Al Batinah Governorate, Sultanate of Oman.

At the heart of our mission lies the vision of promoting benevolence as a mark of progress, contributing to community development. Our goals aim to raise awareness among the local population about the importance of Zakat and charity, as well as orphan sponsorship, emphasizing their role in strengthening a cooperative society. Furthermore, the Committee seeks to enhance awareness of the range of services it provides to Zakat payers and registered beneficiaries
