About IIA Hong Kong
The Institute of Internal Auditors Hong Kong Limited (previously known as The Institute of Internal Auditors Hong Kong Chapter) was formed in 1979 and is affiliated to the global organization, The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. (The IIA Inc.) which is headquartered in the U.S.A. The IIA is a global body with more than 200,000 members worldwide.
The Institute of Internal Auditors Hong Kong Limited is incorporated in Hong Kong as a company limited by guarantee. It is a not-for-profit professional membership organization that serves to elevate the internal audit profession in Hong Kong and around the world. The Management of the affairs of the Institute is the responsibility of the Board of Governors based on the Memorandum and Articles of Association. All Governors are volunteers elected by eligible members at the Annual General Meeting each year, and they are all experienced professionals both from the public and private sectors. Several committees have also been established to assist the Board of Governors.
