Meeting Maryland
TestuGo’s December 6 demo includes 1 scavenger hunt race: the McKeldin Scavenger Race. The hunt leads users to find 9 interesting points on campus via a hint system and map. Upon reaching the active location, you’ll be rewarded with cool trivia and history about the landmark. Find each landmark in your hunt to earn a completion medal!
All-Inclusive Fun
Each point of interest in the December 6 scavenger hunts comes with multiple hints to help lead you to the solution. Simply click the active card to reveal the next hint, with each one narrowing your search further. Users can use the hint system to find cool landmarks without frustration, while campus locals can test their knowledge by using as few hints as possible. Either way, you’re bound to learn something new!
By Students, For Students
TestuGo is part of the Vertically Integrated Projects (VIPS) Program at Maryland, which creates long-term, large-scale projects that unite undergraduate education and faculty research, allowing students to teach each incoming class and gain project management skills. With the help of the College of Electrical & Computer Engineering, the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and Campus Enterprise GIS in Facilities Management, our students have been hard at work creating an app that uses a geospatial platform and various mapping technologies to enhance the college experience. Future users will be provided with time- and location-sensitive information to assist with finding relevant events, daily planning, and campus discovery.
