▻ BasicMed currency as specified in federal docket number FAA-2016-9157. BasicMed becomes effective on May 1, 2017.
▻ Flight review expiration per 14 CFR 61.56
▻ Recent flight experience per 14 CFR 61.57 paragraphs (a), (b), (c), and (d)
Flight Currency will correctly calculate expiration dates based on calendar months for flight reviews, medical examinations, and instrument experience. General and night experience automatically expire in 90 days.
Do you fly conventional gear aircraft? No problem! Tailwheel landings can be marked separately. Unsure if that last landing counts for night currency? One hour before sunrise and one hour after sunset calculated based on your current location. Gliders? Balloons? Helicopters? Welcome aboard!
