Download the informative mobile app that features Eva Longleaf, a conversational tour guide who explains great escapes on the National Forests in Alabama. “Eva” talks to visitors about recreation activities, history and forest management activities they can expect to see while visiting the National Forests in Alabama. Visitors can download the Eva Longleaf mobile application before visiting the national forest to be available whether or not there is an internet connection.

Forest visitors downloading the new Forest Service mobile app will be welcomed by “Eva Longleaf” a Forest Service virtual tour guide providing information on recreation activities, national forest history and what is happening in the natural world surrounding them. Eva Longleaf will explain how national forests are working forests where you can expect to see controlled burns, tree thinning, tree planting and other management activities throughout the year. The projects are focused on maintaining the health and resilience of national forests while at the same time providing products and services to the public. Visitors will also learn about the history of each national forest in Alabama. Eva Longleaf communicates (one-way) with visitors to assist them in planning activities while on the Bankhead, Talladega, Conecuh and Tuskegee National Forest. For 508 compliance, a script is provided for visitors on the mobile app.
